I completed the 7 day challenge and did not get the 10 sweet love shards

If you wanted 7 day challenge rewards, you had to redeem those manually. Unfortunately its too late now, as the event is over. However, if you did redeem rewards in time and you didnt get those, I would suggest you to contact live support.

I was doing that and completed 65 achievements to get the shards but as soon as I did it all froze and it disappeared meaning I could not redeem it manually. I read somewhere to wait and they may appear but unfortunately have not hence why I am writing to see if I can get it resolved

If everything froze and disappeared, it could be because the event ended. You were too late to redeem the rewards. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do at this point :(

I definitely wasn’t as it had a day left at the time on the event. Is there no way the game creators can award the shards due to the bug that caused the issue now?

You should have included this information to me from the beginning. Whenever problems like this occurs, you should always contact to live support as soon as possible. Sometimes re-starting the game or even re-installing could help. When it comes to getting your soulstones, I have no idea do you have chance to get those anymore. As I wrote earlier, you can always contact to live support through the game and ask if they can still give you the soulstones.
